Our Mission for Education

As part of our vision, that the community care for and invest in each other, HKCF nurtures academic achievement of young people.

HK Community Scholar
One high school senior currently enrolled in a local high school will be designated as the HK Community Scholar for that community, to be used for an undergraduate degree at the college of his/her choice. Depending on availability of the funds, the scholarship will range from $1,000 to $5,000.

HK Community Fund Softball Scholarship
The HK Community Fund is offering a Columbia High School Senior Softball Scholarship to any high school senior girl who has participated (played/managed) in the Columbia High School Softball program for at least three seasons.

Local Scholarship funds
The Fund will make an annual donation to scholarship funds that focus on qualified local students who need financial assistance in order to attend a 2 or 4 year college.

Financial Assistance for Extracurricular Programs
The first items to be cut from school budgets tend to be the extra-curricular programs. The Fund's philosophy is that these programs are vital aspects of personal growth, are integral in each student's educational experience and are important components of Community Spirit. A pending Request for Funds form will be provided to offer assistance.
