Who Are We?
HK Project (HKP) is a grass roots non-profit organization aimed at fostering civic
responsibility. We also create and administer programs and events that address unmet community needs and encourage public engagement.
HKP believes that a shared purpose of mutual and active caring is born out of shared experiences. To that end, HKP ensures that the diverse members of the community enjoy a wide range of opportunities to come together for recreation, celebration, and education so that they can come to know and care for one another, and develop a sense of responsibility for the most vulnerable members of the community.
We view community as a wheel supported by many spokes. These spokes
include; Cultural Arts, Education, Recreation, Youth and Elderly Services,
and civic engagement. HKP acts as the hub of that wheel encouraging and
empowering community members to participate in enhancing the welfare
of each of those spokes and, ultimately, to focus on the welfare of the entire
community. All community members should feel valued.
HKP is
civic engagement. HKP is
civic responsibility. HKP is
civic action.
Our end goal is unity and belonging.
